CMHA, ASR - ICA Counselling Assistance (Revision of "City Funding")

This subsidy is made possible through funds that are distributed by the province of Alberta to CMHA, ASR for the local Family and Community Support Services (FCSS) and Reaching Home programs. The portion of client session fees approved by CMHA are paid to Crossroads Counselling Centre Society monthly.

As an organization, we are tremendously thankful for the receipt of this grant funding as it enable us to remove the economic barrier for prospective clients who are residents of the City of Lethbridge and give them access to the counselling services that they seek.

Details of Funding

Based on the information and proof that you and our agency provide with your application, CMHA will determine the following:  if you qualify for the subsidy, what portion of each session you are required to pay for personally, and which funding stream your counselling sessions will be allocated under. Session limits are determined according to the funding stream and will be communicated to you upon approval.

Eligibility

You are eligible to apply if

  • you are a resident of the City of Lethbridge

and

  • your combined gross family income & number of members in your household falls within  the Low Income Measure scale

and

  • you do not have any benefit coverage or you have exhausted the coverage that you have

Application Process

Step 1 – Complete Application

We will walk you through this process either in person or via phone.

Step 2 – Gather Proof of Income & Residency

You will need to gather and copy or take screen shots of your proof of income and your proof of residency in the City of Lethbridge.

You may bring these documents into our office personally or scan (screen shots are acceptable) and email them to info@crossroadscounselling.ca .

Approval

Upon receipt of all of the above mentioned documents, we will submit your application to CMHA.  Once CMHA has process your application, we will contact you to let you know if you were approved and what portion of the sessions that you are required to pay.

Crossroads Counselling (Internal) Subsidy

As an organization, we are extremely grateful for the receipt of this generosity as it gives us the ability to remove the economic barrier for prospective clients who are residents of Southern Alberta and give them access to the counselling services that they seek.

Based on the information and proof that you provide with your application & on the Maximum Client Portion Scale created by Crossroads Counselling Centre, we will determine what portion of each session you are required to pay for personally. Upon approval, you will qualify for a minimum of ten sessions with the possibility of extension where applicable.

  • you are a resident of Southern Alberta

and

  • your combined net family income is less than $65000 per year

and

  • you do not have any benefit coverage or you have exhausted the coverage that you have

You will need to gather and copy or take screen shots of your proof of income according to the application guidelines.
